I've tried gold plated blanks from many vendors, and these are by far the BEST! The heavy plating means they stay gold much longer and aren't destroyed if you accidentally touch the plating while polishing. That said, I do still use ring tape while doing the inlay/polishing to protect the edges.
I love these! They are quite comfortable to wear. The weight feels substantial, but not too heavy, and polish back up nicely after inlay work were sanding in required.
